We continue to be impressed by her (Kenia’s) ability to connect with our students! Her projects, topics, and activities are creative, innovative, and allow the students to express their thoughts and emotions. Kenia uses her book Savvy Gems as a forum to discuss and process key issues facing our young women today. Kenia’s groups encourage young girls to be strong, independent, and self-assured. We look forward to expanding her work with our male students, and to continuing our collaboration with Kenia for years to come.
